Dr. Arlene J. Ford — CEO & Principal Facilitator Equity Inquiry Project Inc.

Dr. Arlene J. Ford is a thought leader and agent of change.

She is an educator, facilitator, researcher, and storyteller with a passion for helping others learn and engage productively. A graduate of Harvard Law School, she later acquired a master’s degree from Columbia University and a Ph. D from the University of California, Los Angeles to further build her capacity to support the work of equity. She founded the Equity Inquiry Project Inc. (EquIP) in 2013 with the goal of working closely with leaders, team members, and their organizations to support lasting transformational change.

Through the Equity Inquiry Project, Dr. Ford works with nonprofits, businesses, and education organizations to elevate, reframe and facilitate learning, improve dialogue, and encourage reflection on the part of leaders and their teams.

She works to build organizational culture and create positive change through effective communication. She strives to create a healthy environment for authentic engagement. She believes that we can better our understanding of each other by learning tools that help to successfully navigate tough conversations including around racial equity. Her goal is to help support, promote and maintain equity, inclusion, and diversity in organizations. The Equity Inquiry Project asks leaders and their teams to courageously and compassionately deepen their understanding of inequality and increase their equity capacity through a commitment to learn, voice, and practice.
